Frequently Asked Questions
1
Do you take insurance?
I do not process payments through insurance at this time. I am able to provide a superbill if needed. PPO insurance plans will often reimburse out-of-network healthcare costs. Please check with your insurance company in order to determine if they would accept a superbill and how much they would cover.
2
What is your fee?
My standard fee is $185/session. I utilize a sliding-scale based on income so we can discuss whether you would meet criteria for a lowered-fee.
3
What to expect before and during our first session?
Prior to the first session, I will have you set up a client portal through SimplePractice, where you will fill out and sign paperwork electronically.
During the first session, we will discuss the paperwork and any questions you have. The rest of our time will be focused on me beginning to understand your story from a broader perspective. We’ll also begin the process of identifying your unique goals and what the path will be for us to get there.
Think of the first one or two sessions as being focused on laying a strong, safe foundation for us to begin building upon–this foundation is very important for everything that follows in therapy.

Where do we meet? In person or online?
I am a believer that there is value to meeting in person, but recognize that sometimes due to life circumstances or distance, meeting online is still a great option.
In-person location: 1820 W. Orangewood Ave Suites 109 & 111, Orange, CA 92868.
Online: I utilize HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions through SimplePractice. I will send you an email link prior to our session for you to access our session.
For online sessions, please make sure you are in a safe and private location and have good Wi-Fi.

How long is the duration of therapy?
Each session is 45-50 minutes in length. Experience shows that therapy works best when it takes place on a weekly basis. Some will be in therapy for a few months, others for any number of years. It will really depend on your unique wants and needs.
